Melinda is a retired English teacher turned freelance editor, content manager, copywriter, and web producer. With a BA in English, an MS in Management, and a passion for digital production, she’s worked with corporations across the United States, on-site and remotely, creating marketing content that helps businesses prosper.
For Clever, Melinda is a top-notch copywriter and self‑proclaimed grammar enthusiast who delivers sharp editing and writing skills. She is also a stickler about using the MUST-HAVE Oxford comma (Get it together, AP Style Guide).
Beyond the 9-5 . . .
When she’s off the clock, she enjoys watching TV, specifically cop shows . . . Hello, Blue Bloods! (The adrenaline rush is real), reading, going for early morning walks, and singing in her church choir.
Melinda is also an unapologetic cat lover. She and her husband share their home with six opinionated cats: two she’s loved since she watched them being born (Amazing!) and four rescues who now live the spoiled, cushy life they deserve. Her goal is to keep all of her feline babies happy and loved as she blissfully accepts that they really do run the manor. (Crazy cat lady, who?!)
Endlessly detail-oriented to the point it’s almost painful, Melinda brings heart, humor when appropriate, and editorial excellence to every project she works on. We’re so lucky to have her on the Clever team!
